FIWON Partners with ROBOF to conduct Free Medical Check-up for Members
In continuation of the long – standing collaboration between the Federation of Informal Workers’ Organizations (FIWON) and the Roselyn Bosede Omokayode Foundation (ROBOF), 60 members of FIWON had their check – up done free of charge last Friday July 27, 2022, by Dr. Akinrogunde’s team. The overall result show that several are already suffering from mild hypertension while quite a few also registered high blood sugar levels while even more worrying, 6 tested positive for Hepatitis.

Those with medical conditions were referred for further investigations and treatment.
The medical report underscores the prime importance of regular medical check – up. It was also a great lesson to our members who do not seek medical treatment until they fall into chronic ill health, that we all must take our health more seriously. This medical service has no doubt saved some lives. Dr. Goke has also promised us that the exercise will go round FIWON clusters of members all over Lagos.
It is important to note that ROBOF has been offering this service to our members in Lagos State since 2018 and has tested over 700 members since then but for the period of Covid-19 shut down when the service was suspended.
